The great benefit of Email Campaigns over traditional media is the ability to target specific demographics easily.
You can create segments in your client lists based on almost any demographic that you have and promote to each one separately. This can be used in conjunction with a print or radio promotion in a specific zip code, income level, or specific members.
For instance you may have a list of existing clients that buy your larger ticket items during the spring from your North East store. However your store on the South West side tends to do better during mid summer on their clearance items. By segmenting these markets, you can promote to each area separately at a fraction of the cost of traditional media.
